The Pope Of Dope started out as a track that The Subs put together with lyrics of Mon Colonel, a member of the Party Harders collective. His now famous lyrics were originally recorded when he let himself go on a wild night he spent in the studios of The Subs in Ghent. The result turned out to be this huge catchy partytrack that you really couldn’t get around last summer. The video for instance, has gotten over 2.5 million views on Youtube!  Now this year of Pope-Of-Dope-madness is slowly coming to a stop. With last highlights being the show they played at Rock Werchter, where Mon Colonel surprised the audience by soaring through the marquee dressed a a flying pope and ofcourse the show at Les Ardentes of last weekend where The Subs and The Partyharders were rewarded by Lektroluv Records / N.E.W.S. with a gold record!
